Rockstar has confirmed that new details about GTA V will be scarce until after Max Payne 3 is released:

First of all, we’d like to again thank you and everyone out there for the amazing response to the debut Grand Theft Auto V trailer. We know that there are a ton of questions you all have about the game, including release date and lots else.

Right now, we are very hard at work on the game and are excited as well to show and tell you more as development progresses – expect that we’ll be talking much more about GTAV starting at some point in a few months’ time. Please hang tight until then and thank you all for your patience and support!

Check out this San Andreas poster found in the amusement ride (Coney Island) section of GTA IV’s Liberty City. It looks just like the end of the GTA V trailer. This video was captured from TBOGT expansion however it turns out the poster was always there even back in the original game from 2008.

“Game Informer: You just released the GTA V trailer. Can you talk about that project in any respect? Obviously, it looks like it’s going back to San Andreas.

Dan Houser: I’ve got to be real careful here, or they will drag me through the office and whip me with barbwire. I will stick to exactly what’s in the press release. It’s Los Santos and the surrounding countryside – and a very big map.”

Is Ned Luke the voice and likeness behind the Tommy-Vercetti-looking mystery man from the GTA V trailer? All signs are pointing towards yes! Take a gander at the picture to your left. The resemblance is uncanny. What do you guys think?

A clever comparison of San Andreas and GTA V. The jump in graphical fidelity is truly extraordinary.

A great analysis of the recently released Grand Theft Auto V trailer courtesy of GameTrailers.com. Much like the previous entries in the series, GTA V is no stranger to abundance in detail.

This morning Rockstar games has officially announced that GTA V is in full development. From the press release:

Today Rockstar Games has released the trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V. Whether this is a remake of San Andreas or a sandbox more confined to the Los Angeles and Hollywood regions of California is still unclear. Either way, all of you clamoring for the zanier side of GTA are about to have their dreams come true. Now onto the trailer!
